2007–2014: Nathaniel Rateliff and the Wheel File:Nathaniel Rateliff (b).jpg Despite increasing success with Born in the Flood, Rateliff turned down an offer from Roadrunner Records, and shifted his focus to a more stripped-down, solo effort, playing somber, singer-songwriter content under his name and "Nathaniel Rateliff and the Wheel". In February 2007, Born in the Flood released their first full-length album If This Thing Should Spill. In 2002, Rateliff formed Born in the Flood, quickly garnering a large following in Denver and headlining local festivals like the Westword Music Showcase. As a teenager he taught himself guitar, began writing songs and, at eighteen, moved to Denver. He grew up in rural Missouri, learning to play the drums at age seven.

During my career, I suffered a severe injury to my right shoulder causing not only a collarbone break, but also causing instability in my shoulder joint and my sternoclavicular joint. My story:Īs a former competitive hockey player, I've had my fair share of injuries - specifically on my right shoulder. There is no better complex shoulder, knee, and sports surgeon in the world. Throughout my entire experience, I could feel their empathy, I could hear and see their expertise, and I was treated like family. Military families enjoyed their time in Vail while reconnecting and creating memories to last a lifetime. It was an incredible weekend of music featuring Dierks Bentley and Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats. Later, during Vail Snow Days (an annual Colorado celebration), VVP hosted 4 wounded veterans and their families to kick off the winter season. They had an incredible experience, honoring those who have sacrificed profoundly for our freedom. Provencher shared in a special evening with the other supporters and sponsors, VVP Alumni and Brothers for Life. On December 14th, The Steadman Clinic and Dr. The Israeli veteran participants gained confidence on the ski slopes and were able to connect with each other as well as other VVP Alumni. Matthew Provencher, partnered with Brothers for Life, Vail Veterans Program (VVP) and helped welcome 7 injured Israeli Veterans to Vail, CO for a week of healing in the Rocky Mountains.
